Jakob Kiersch

Jakob Kiersch has worked as a professional drummer in the German and international music scene for more than three decades. As a co-founder of Gods of Blitz he toured across Europe and played with Wolfmother and Maxïmo Park among others.

From 2009 to 2026 he was the drummer of the internationally successful synth pop band Alphaville, touring worldwide, recording several albums and playing large stages in many countries. Alongside Alphaville he worked with Julia Marcell, RotFront, Electric Lizard and Payola, and features as a drummer on numerous releases.

Beyond his live and session work he has spent many years with meditation and the mental approach to making music, and today teaches how musicians can play with more ease, presence and inner calm on stage.
