No certificates, no CV — you send a video. In it: the technique exercises at four tempos, two pieces on the kit or one piece and a free solo, and three minutes in which you introduce yourself. A tutor watches it and writes back telling you what is solid, what is getting in the way first, and which of the three routes fits you.
How applying works
Record
What has to be on it is right below: technique, playing on the kit, introduction. A phone will do — place it so that hands and feet are visible. It is about the playing, not the sound.Fill in the application
Upload the recording wherever you like: an unlisted video, cloud storage, a file service. In the form you add the link and answer a few questions — one step at a time, not a wall of fields.Read the reply
Within a few days you get written feedback by email — specific enough to practise from that same evening, plus which of the three routes fits you. Whether anything more comes of it is up to you.
The recording
What has to be on the video
Three parts: technique, playing on the kit, and you. Record them in one take or separately — what matters is that all of it is there. Show us your attitude on the kit: tightness, groove and a style that is yours.
Technique
On a pad or on the snare, with a metronome.
- Single strokes, sixteenths60 · 80 · 100 · 120
- Double strokes, sixteenths60 · 80 · 100 · 120
- Paradiddle, sixteenths60 · 80 · 100 · 120
- Time pyramidquarters · eighths · eighth triplets · sixteenths · sixteenth triplets
- Moving accents, sixteenths
On the kit
One of the two, not both.
- Two songs from different stylesunedited
- Or: one song and a free solo2.5 to 3 minutes
Introduce yourself
A short video, three minutes at most.
- Who are you?
- Where are you from?
- How long have you been playing the drums?
- Do you play in a band?
- Why do you want to study at the Drum Masters Academy?
Set the camera so that your hands and feet are visible. A phone will do — this is about the playing, not the sound.
What we listen for
No score and no grade. Five things that can be heard reliably — and that decide what makes sense next.
- Whether both hands sound the same — volume, stroke, stick height.
- Whether the tempo is held or rescued, especially through fills.
- How the bass drum sits against the hi-hat, and whether that is deliberate.
- Whether your posture and grip will hold you back later.
- What you clearly already have — and therefore no longer need to practise.

Applying costs nothing
No fee and no condition. No sales call follows if you do not want one — and no sequence of emails you did not ask for.
From a person
Somebody who teaches listens to it. No automated analysis, no score, no ranking against other submissions.
Your recording stays yours
We upload nothing, store nothing and publish nothing. You send a link, we look at what is behind it — nothing else happens to it.
Your application
Three steps, none of them long. The reply comes by email.

One video, a few questions, done. A tutor watches your playing and replies in writing — with what to work on next, and with which of the three routes fits you. If you would rather write than play, that works too.
