Gábor Dörnyei

Gábor Dörnyei is among the internationally sought-after drummers, solo artists and drum educators of his generation. He has toured and performed worldwide, played festivals such as Glastonbury, the London Jazz Festival and Sziget, and spent three years in the London production of “Thriller Live — Michael Jackson”.

As a session drummer he has featured on more than a hundred albums as well as film and soundtrack productions for Walt Disney, and has shared stages with musicians such as Stanley Jordan at international jazz festivals.

As a clinician and educator he has worked for DRUMEO and Drum Channel among others, and at international drum festivals he has shared the stage with Steve Gadd, Billy Cobham, Gavin Harrison, Ian Paice and Peter Erskine. Today he combines that stage and studio experience with his work as a university lecturer.
